“This letter is from Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ. I am writing to you who share the same precious faith we have. This faith was given to you because of the justice and fairness of Jesus Christ, our God and Savior. May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. And because of His glory and excellence, He has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share His divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.” – 2 Peter 1:1-4 (NLT)
God has given you an inheritance, a gift of having faith in Him that will change your life forever. This gift of faith was given to you because of the justice and fairness of Jesus Christ, your God, and Savior and is life-changing. God’s so powerful that He planned all along to give you everything to live a Godly life. This is His promise to you. You just have to start using these biblical promises. He’s always ready for you to get active for Him. He doesn’t want you to sit on the bench waiting for Him to do the work He design for you. He wants you off the bench to play for Him. He wants you to be a full-time player on His team. This is His plan for you. It’s always been available for you, and He is ready for you to be active, but you’ve got to make a decision to get on with it.
So, if you start off knowing you were specifically chosen to play for Him, you do not have to worry about your past, your baggage, and how it might interfere with playing for Him. You don’t even have to worry about the future. It’s all in His forgiving hands and His empowered by His Spirit, the Holy Spirit. God has been miraculously given Himself to you because you’re special. He just wants you to know Him personally and intimately. He wants you now as you are and develop your relationship with Him.
On the other hand, the devil has his plans for you. His design for you is to remain on a bench full of splints your entire life and then when you die he like nothing more to do but take you to hell with him. He’s a jerk and who wants you to fail spiritually. Only a nut case like that could think you would follow him and fall for His pathetic lifestyle now and in hell. Oh, what a fool he has been trying to bring down Christians and break them. He wants you to be a loser in the game of life. Are you ready to play for God and do the inheritance thing?
What’s your next move?
