GSM International has shipped, through ‘Food for the Poor’ about $15,000US of football gear for their ministry efforts in Kingston for the New Elite Youth Football Academy which started at Alpha Boy’s Football Field in September.  The coaches and players are using the gear already and GSM Jamaica will be giving out some soccer jerseys to needy clubs as gift. Football gear includes, goal nets, footballs, uniforms, goalkeeping gears, travel bags, cones and other training equipment.

The Elite Youth Academy started with Saturday morning only to select 120 Elite players. In 2017 the academy will operate a training program three days weekly for these female and male players. Three coaches are employed by GSM and then an additional GSM trained coaches will be added in 2017 to best operate the Academy numbers under the direction of Baris Johnson, Director of GSM Jamaica Football. Gregory Hall will direct the new Goalkeeper Academy.
