Paul has coached the youth, college, and semi-pro soccer both on the International and National levels winning over 600 matches. He coached and directed the soccer program at Coastal Carolina University an NCAA Division 1 program bringing them into national rankings and into the NCAA soccer tournament and several occasion. He has coached at Rockford University, IL, Munro College, Jamaica, Santos FC, Jamaica, The King’s College, NY and other semi-professional and club soccer programs. He has one numerous conference championships and awards. He has directed and help found several youth soccer clubs. He is an international soccer coach, educator, author and is presently, the Founder of Global Soccer Ministries International.
Paul speaks and consults in world wide about the game of soccer and the Game of life found in Christ Jesus. He has authored two books, “GSM International Soccer Coaching Manual” and “Coaching Soccer with Passion and Purpose”. He has written numerous articles and lectures on leadership in the game of soccer located on the Coaching Education tab on this website. He writes four monthly coaching and player’s devotions and coaching educational articles that are read by over 7,000 soccer administrators, coaches and players world wide. He is writing two more books called “Success to Significant” and A Soccer Coach and Players 365 Daily Devotional called, “Daily Help to Be Significant”.
He has served the USSF, AYSO, Antigua and Barbuda Football Association, Guyana Football Federation, Jamaica Football Federation, Transylvania FA in Romania, Lagos Football Association in Nigeria and Belizean Football Federation as a clinician in National Coaching Courses and soccer seminars. Under GSM International activities Coach Banta delivers coaching education courses in the countries where GSM is active and throughout the USA that center around leadership and sound coaching concepts which develop coaches to develop players from youth to the senior level. He has played soccer at the High School, Club, College and Professional levels and holds U.S.S.F. C, B, A and Y National licenses and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Physical Education. He is married to Joy and they have three son’s Stephen, Nathan and Joel and five grand kids, Ella, Ava, Dylan, Samantha, Parker and Colton.
